This is one of the [tag]conditioning drills for football[/tag] I modified and use because it teaches several proper techniques and works the cardio. Typically used for defensive backs and linebackers but it is good for all players!

First you will need 4 cones–3 cones are used at the line of scrimmage about 30 yards apart with the center cone in the middle. The 4th cone is 10 yards behind the center cone making the T.

Here is what makes this [tag]football drill[/tag] great–you can run it with dummies or players!
The coach faces the center cone about 2 yards deep; players are lined up 5 yards behind the 4th cones facing the coach. On the whistle a player sprints to the cone in front and breaks down (you can also use a pad here); then he shuffles to the far cone on the right; he then crossover runs (shoulders square) down the line of scrimmage to the furthest cone.

Once reached kereoki from there to the center cone. Then backpedal to starting point looking for the [tag]football[/tag]! You can also add a RB for an added tackling drill.
