Nick in Oregon sent this football drill to me last week.  A great suggestion for conditioning for youth football that don’t require a coaching PhD to figure out.Conditioning for Youth Football

From Nick
A good  football conditioning drill I do is a drill I learned while coaching baseball.

It is called “quarterbacks”.  You have two coaches one at each side of the field with five or six footballs.  The players line up in single file lines with each football coach.

One at a time each player sprints on a fly route and the coach lobs the ball to them.  The player needs to “lay out” and make a fantastic catch.  The rest of the team gets to grade the catch.  This player will now take the football to the coach on the other sideline and get into that line.

This is a great football drill after we have an Oregon rain.  Kids love it and they are getting some conditioning too!
