For our football defense, we like to use a wave drill to teach pursuit and change of direction. We didn’t feel we were “changing direction” well, so implemented this to help the players move better, keep pad level down when doing so, and coach hustle and pursuit.
Here’s a youth football coaching tip for end of the season football practice. You can also turn this around and use it at the beginning of the season, record the results and repeat at the end! Use this to show how far the team came during the season.
