Chris, one of my subscribers, came up with some great suggestions and [tag]football coaching tips[/tag]. Keep ”˜em coming!
From Chris”¦
If you are looking for your team to give you more knowledgeable [tag]football[/tag] play, try this out; it worked for me.
About three quarters through [tag]football camp[/tag] and your positions are settled as to who is going to play where, try this.
During [tag]football practice[/tag] the defense coaches and the offense coaches swapped players. Instead of teaching the offensive lineman blocking techniques I taught the defensive lineman blocking techniques. It gave these 1st and 2nd year players more of an insight of what to expect. For example, if the running back spent time learning what the line backers and cb’s do they know how they are supposed to react in certain [tag]football defense[/tag] sets.
It was fun! We did this for three days straight and my offensive lineman and fullback knew who they had to block and how they were coming.
