I got the inspiration for these football drills from Steve, one of my subscribers. It includes some fresh ideas for football practice drills.  Try them out and let me know what you think!Football Practice Drills

From Steve…
Here are a few football drills I use for my receivers:

Triangle Fingers: Two lines facing each other. Throwing the ball back and forth, the receiver forms a triangle shape with two thumbs touching tip-to-tip and the index fingers. They have to catch the ball out in front of them, and to the sides, without breaking the triangle.

Soft fingers: This is an anytime drill. The thrower throws the football, hard, at the receiver, who tries to catch the ball without any sound from his hands. This teaches them not only to relax their fingers, but it actually seems to help them to watch the ball into their hands.

Windshield washers:
Receiver stands facing thrower, while “washers” form two lines along the direction ball will travel, with an extra “washer” right next to the receiver. As ball is thrown the “washers” flail at the ball, trying to distract the receiver.
