Practice Drill
I want to give you an idea for a practice football drill.
It’s called a box drill.
I put four cones about five yards apart in a square formation. I would have half the team with the ball at one corner and the other of half the team tackling across from them. Then when the whistle blows both players go and run around the cone on their right. Then meet at the middle with the tackler trying to make the tackle.
If the tackler missed I would explain why and if they do a nice tackle then I would tell them. Then they would switch sides. Keep going till both sides have run with the ball and tackled.
