This is one of the football practice plans that have been sent in to me. I’m including it below for you to try with your team tonight!
From Adam…
My football practices are really just the down to earth basics. I start football practice with some streches, then I line every one up and run the passing tree and defensive formations.
One football drill that I really stress to them the most is I set up two cones about 10 feet from each other, this representing the goal line, and I put one person in front of the goal line and every one else puts on flags and their task is to run past the defender and through the cones without getting one flag pulled off. If they lose one flag, they have 25 up-downs, if they lose both flags, it is 50 up-downs. If the defender doessn’t get a flag at all, 25 up-downs.
I use flags because a flag is a lot harder to pull than making a tackle. I’ve got about 23 trick plays in my playbook also, so I am obviously offensive minded.
That is my football practice in a nut shell. Let me know what you think.
