Football Quickness Drills – Offensive Line Whistle Drill

These football quickness drills are for the offensive line, working on steps.  I call this football drill the offensive line whistle drill.

For either the base step or zone steps, the players start in their 3 pt stance.  I blow the whistle and the football player takes their whichever step and the players hands move to the holster position while taking their 1st step.  This gets the players use to getting their hands ready to deliver their blow.  On the 2nd whistle the player moves their 2nd step and moves their hands to the attack move to deliver the blow with their hands in a W position as the hands come together.

You can work this over and over again until the players do it as fast as you need or want.  I usually have about 15 players at a time so you can work 3-5 at a time to have more players move through the football drill.
