These football training drills help the players accomplish ‘hand-eye coordination’ and ‘muscle memory’.

- Start off with one of your football players standing right in front of a ‘hitting bag’ (practice dummy), I mean where the bag is almost touching his chest.
- Then have the player squat down as low as possible and explode not only up but into the bag. Leaping forward as far as he can, landing on top of the bag.
- The next time it’s his turn he takes 1 step back from the dummy so that he can take 1 step forward before he squats down and explodes into the bag. One step forward, Squat and explode up and out leaping onto the bag.
- His next turn in line the player sprints forward, plants both feet side by side, squats and explodes into the bag leaping himself and the bag out as far as his leap can take him, landing on top of the bag.
Do this football drill every single day at the beginning of football practice, with each player doing the 3 step process once. It becomes a natural habit to get low and accel up and forward just before they hit someone. It makes a night & day difference.
