We use these [tag]football training drills[/tag] to teach all our defensive guys how to take good pursuit angles and that, if done right, you should have a nice straight line with players right next to each other.

Whole [tag]football defense[/tag] lines up in correct positions and in their stances.   You have a QB, a RB, and 2 WR.

When the ball is snapped the QB either gives the [tag]football[/tag] to the RB or throws it to one of the WR.   Once they have the ball they run 3/4 speed in a straight line.
Now the front 7 does an up down on the snap of the ball then they run to the ball and have to tag the ball carrier with 2 hands and set in a nice ready positions after they tag the ball carrier.
The secondary does the same thing, they pursue to the ball carrier and tag him with 2 hands and sit in their ready position (knees bent, butt down hands up).

When all 11 defenders have touched the ball carrier there should be a nice straight line of defenders showing that all of them took the correct angles tot he ball carrier.     Defenders go full speed in this [tag]football drill[/tag].
