Free Conditioning Football Drills – Seek & Destroy

If you’re looking for free conditioning football drills, try this one. We call it Seek and Destroy.

Split your team up into groups of 4-6.  Make sure that teams are even in speed.  Depending on the amount of groups you have you will need 1 less big blocking dummy (if you have 5 group you will need 4 dummies).

Have your football coaches spread across the practice field ranging from 10 yards to 25 yards.  Make sure they are not in a line.

The players start out on their backs.  On “go”, they get up and they “seek and destroy”.  The team that does not get to a dummy has to do 10-15 push ups.  We usually go through 3 or 4 rotations.

Each time make sure that your coaches move to a different location in the field.  Make sure that the teams are talking to each others.

This football drill helps with communication between the players.  It is a great conditioning drill.  They are running and having fun doing it. The players get into it and the coaches have a good time cheering them on as well.
