Looking for offensive line drills? You’ve come to the right place! Try out this idea below and let me know how it goes for you.
From Daniel
I’ve got a football offensive line drill that works the kids on their pulling ability. It seems to improve their foot speed while working out their cardio at the same time.
Have the players line up as if they were at the line of scrimmage.Give them their cadence, and on the snap have the left tight end pull down the line to the right and get into a 3 point stance when he gets past the right tight end (or whomever the farthest person to the right is). When he is set,the coach calls cadence for the left tackle, who pulls to the right and positions himself by the previous lineman. Continue this until you are at the lineman who started the drill, then repeat the pulls to the left.
I like to time the kids, and they seem to get excited about trying to improve their speed. ( A win, win situation!!)
