From Dan…
For all my offensive people that may handle the ball, do a football drill called “Speed Tucks” to reduce turnovers and improve the players ability to gain additional yardage.

We normally have two to three ball handlers performing the drill at one time and one player stands behind each player w/ a hand held blocking pad in a horizontal position at the ball handlers’ elbow height.

The idea is to start with the ball tucked under one arm and move it as fast as possible to the other arm.  We see how many tucks they can do in 30 seconds.  A tuck is counted by the person behind them and only counts if the ball handler’s elbow hits the blocking pad.  This insures that ball is fully tucked away.

Once a player becomes comfortable w/ tucking and re-tucking the ball properly, the more naturally they move it to the proper arm while in the game.
