Set Up

  • Start facing a wall with your back to your partner.

Wall Catch Football Receiving Drill


  1. Partner throws a ball off the wall without any notice.
  2. Player catches the ball as it bounces off the wall.
  3. Give the ball back to your partner and repeat for 10 total catches.
  4. Complete one more set.

Coaching Tips

  • To increase the difficulty of the drill you can switch to one hand catches.
  • For an even bigger challenge substitute a tennis ball in for the football.
