The secret to winning football games is in well-executed plays from both your defense and your offensive squads. For these free football plays, we’ll focus on game-winning offensive plays that can make or break your team’s scoring opportunities. Practice each of these free football plays at least 5 times during practice sessions before attempting to execute them during a game so that your players are all absolutely sure of their roles.
The first of the free football plays is starts off as a standard quarterback draw. Have your quarterback take the snap from the center and fake a quick pass towards a wide receiver on his left. Then the quarterback securely tucks the ball under his arm and runs straight up the middle of the field to the right side of the center. Make sure he has adequate blockers keeping the path free for him to the run the ball.
The next play, called the “Bootleg” play is also executed with the quarterback running the ball. First off, have the quarterback receive the snap then fake a throw to the lone running back on the far right side of the offensive line. Instead of throwing, he runs to the far right as close to the sideline as possible without running out.
This play should be executed without proper blocking since it is in your best interest not to draw attention to the quarterback. Therefore, it is essential during this play that all backs in the back field run in the opposite direction from the play in an attempt to divert attention and pull the defense in the wrong direction.
