For a fun [tag]football[/tag] [tag]drill[/tag], and teaching of leverage”¦we play “Towel Fight”.
We get 3 boys to all hold onto a towel,   (one in the middle, and the other two at opposite ends).   We then circle up around them.   We put 3 cones out, about 10 feet away from each player.   The first player to touch a cone while holding the towel is the winner.

It teaches advantage, determination, competition, problem solving, and survival.

Instead of running standard [tag]sprints[/tag] for end of practice [tag]conditioning[/tag] and cool down, divide the players into groups and have them compete in relay races where each player runs up and back completing 2 normal sprint distances each turn.   3 out of 5, 5 out of 7, or however many sprints, 2 per relay, you desire.

Loser puts bags and shields away after [tag]practice[/tag].   The players love it.
