Teaching Football OffenseThis idea on [tag]teaching football offense[/tag] comes courtesy of one of my high school [tag]football coach[/tag] subscribers.

Everyone knows to have a good offense you must have a great [tag]football offensive line[/tag] and at any level the lowest guy always wins. Most of you probably already teach this technique or have at some time but I swear by the DUCK WALK.

Start them off in a three point and on go; they take their first step and freeze. Their butts should be only 8 to 10 inches off their heels like a squat. Always make sure that first step is tiny–maybe 3 to 5 inches. Taking too big of a step opens the hips and develops bad driving technique down the road.

The rest is pretty simple. Call out the steps-STEP STEP STEP STEP. Make sure backs are straight, heads are up, butts are low. Do this [tag]football drill[/tag] every day and don’t let them cheat and I swear on the [tag]football[/tag] gods their pad level will be low and stay low.
