These [tag]football training drills[/tag] are for receivers and tight ends.

The first drill helps with timing routes and teaches your receivers to run their routes without having to look at the QB constantly.

1.) Have your receivers line up in a straight line one behind the other.
2.) Have the lead man in line close his eyes and place his hands at his sides.
3.) Then, throw the ball to the receiver.
4.) The [tag]football coach[/tag] leading this drill must be paying attention because the receiver is to open his eyes when the whistle is blown and catch the [tag]football[/tag].

Another [tag]football drill[/tag] I like to do with my receivers is called a foot-fire drill. It focuses on the receivers quickness and getting off of the jam.   I use whistle commands to start and stop and also incorporate different hand techniques, as well. Ex) first whistle buzz- your feet, second whistle rip, swim, or club move.
