Drill Type: Agility Drill
This drill gets your players used to distributing their weight in a good football position to change in directions, reaching for a target.
- Place 4 cones 5 yards apart, so you have a 20 yard stretch of field for the players to travel.
- Place a football on the top of the last cone.
- Each player is going to run between each cone, touching the top of each and then changing direction, to run and touch each cone to the end and reach for their target–the ball.
- Time and each player to find out who can reach the ball the fastest.
Depending on the size of your players, you may want to use a higher cone so they don’t have to reach as low to get the ball.
