Ski Jumps

Ski Jumps are an excellent conditioning drill to work on height and leg explosion.   Lay a half moon dummy down on the ground, and then using quick off the ground movement and keeping both feet together, jump over the half moon dummy onto alternating sides.

Pit-Pat

This footwork drill allows footwork coordination training, and also utilizes the half moon dummy.

Step Overs

Step Over football drills allow players to focus on getting their knees up. Quarterbacks specifically work on their 3 and 5 step drops, and other different backfield actions.   This drill also utilizes the half moon dummy.

Right Knee

In this drill, the player places the knee that corresponds with throwing hand down on the ground. From this position, practice throwing, with a focus on proper throwing mechanics.

Both Knees

In this drill, the player places both knees on the ground. From this position, practice throwing, with a focus on proper throwing mechanics.

Wrong Knee

In this drill, the player places the knee that is opposite the throwing hand down on the ground. From this position, practice throwing, with a focus on proper throwing mechanics.

Side Throwing

In this excellent drill, the Quarterback straddles a line and is rotating at the hips and delivering the football. You want to stress the player rotating at the hips. Perform this drill in both directions.

Circle Throwing

This is an aspect that is often overlooked in training, but is so important.   The Circle Throwing drill allows your quarterbacks to focus on their throw on the run.
